- An Inequality About the Sum of Two Consecutive Prime Numbers
- Speaker:
- Stacey Do (SUNY Brockport)
Abstract
We prove using some classical estimates that the sum of two consecutive prime numbers is eventually greater than 1.6 times the prime number coming after the next. We determined when exactly the inequality becomes true and for which prime numbers it fails.

- The computation of some series related to the harmonic series
- Speaker:
- Morgan Wiater (SUNY Brockport )
Abstract
I will compute the sum of terms of the type $1/n^p(n - 1)^p$ for various values of $p$ by relating them to known values of zeta function
