2025 Fall Meeting – Registration

St. Lawrence University

Thank you for your interest in attending the 2025 Fall Meeting of the MAA Seaway Section, held on Friday, October 3 and Saturday, October 4 at St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY!

Deadlines to keep in mind:

  • Talk/Poster Title and Abstract Submission: EXTENDED to September 19
  • Friday Afternoon Workshop: September 19
  • Friday Evening Banquet Dinner: September 19
  • Saturday Lunch: September 19

Note on Registration: You may still register for the meeting after Friday, September 19 onsite when you arrive, but you may not be able to attend the Friday evening banquet or the Saturday lunch since accurate counts are needed ahead of time.  

Note on Friday Evening Program: The banquet dinner will be preceded by a social hour and followed by an invited lecture and game show, all of which will be happening at the Best Western University Inn. The banquet dinner will be buffet-style.  A cash bar will be available during the social hour (5:30-6:30 PM), banquet dinner (6:30-7:30 PM), invited lecture (7:30-8:30 PM), and game show (8:30-10:00 PM).

Note on Payment: You will be directed to an online payment system after submitting your registration form.

Note on Talk/Poster Abstract Submission: If you selected that you will be making a presentation at the meeting (contributed talk, student talk, or student poster), you will be given a link and login information in the confirmation email you receive after completing the registration form. This allows you to register for the meeting first and submit your title and abstract at a later date. Contributed talks and student talks will be 20-minute talks with 5 additional minutes for Q&A.

The Friday afternoon workshop will be held on the St. Lawrence University campus, tentatively from 3:00-5:00 PM. The workshop title is "Tangible Calculus: Making Models and Manipulatives in a Makerspace." The workshop will be facilitated by Gabriel Dorfsman-Hopkins (St. Lawrence University). Participants will leave the workshop with their own 3D printed manipulative! For further details, see the "Program" section of the meeting website. We hope you can make it!

Please consider the option of donating to support student expenses (registration and lunch fees are waived for undergraduate and graduate students unless they have a source of funding).


Include any notes to meeting organizers such as special accommodations that you might have, childcare needs, closed captioning, etc.
